The 2015 Construction Challenge was held on Thursday 12th March, in conjunction with Central College Nottingham (CCN) and CITB.
Over 30 students from 4 local schools (Carlton-le-Willows, Emmanuel, Rushcliffe and Toothill) took part, undertaking a variety of bricklaying, electrical, joinery, painting and plastering tasks under the guidance of CCN staff, during the morning.
In the afternoon the competition took place and performances were judged by the CCN staff. The winners were: –
Bricklaying – James Tillyard of Toothill School
Electrical – Daniel Wainwright of Carlton Le Willows School
Joinery – James Tarrall of Carlton Le Willows School
Painting & Decorating – Charlie Wilkinson Pacey of Toothill School
Plastering – Aaron Marks of Rushcliffe Academy
The winners each received a trophy and a £25 tool voucher from local builders merchants John A Stephens.
The runners up and third places each received tools etc. that had been donated by Jewson, Protrade, Festool, Husqvarna, Leica, Milwaukee and Paslode.
The Overall Winning School was Emmanuel School who received a trophy and a £50 tool voucher from John A Stephens.
